In a world filled with mainstream media, a person can be easily made by the surrounding environments and influences. In almost all cases, going with the currents is the easiest way to live life. Are you part of the current? If you are, then I would like to let you know that there is a better way.

Lets look at Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (NIV)

In the verse we read, we saw that the transformation comes from the renewal of the mind. This makes perfect sense, since God has given us free will to make our own decisions. To me renewal of the mind means putting an end to ignorance and living by the standards the Bible sets for us. When we do this we start to obey the commandments set by God and put aside the desires of sin. I like how it’s put in 1Peter 1:14.

This is how you please God, with obedience. In John 15:10 Jesus said: “If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.” (NIV). A pleased God is a pleased father to us, who rewards his children greatly for their obedience.

So dearest reader, I invite you to be different than the world. Better yet, dare to be different! Don’t settle for what everyone is doing, instead follow the will of God. You may find that one helpful aid in doing this has been the decision to be with people who will help you do this.

Another great help is to go to places that share the word of God. Changing your environment and influences ultimately help change the type of person you are. Like it or not, you have already started because by visiting this site you have taken the first step towards renewing your online habits and mentality.
