Fight Back! Part 2
Shammah stood his ground when an army of Philistines came to attack him. He could have ran away, but decided to fight back. Shammah had had enough of this. He wasn’t going to allow this one more day. Whether he lived or die, it didn’t matter, the only thing that matter was that he was going to stand up. My point here is what is your limit? When will it be enough for you to stand up and fight back? Aren’t you tired of being pushed back and pinned down?
You are the only that can make the decision to fight back. People can motivate you or discourage you, but in the end, you will take the decision. Shammah did, and God gave him a great victory. How can one person defeat and army? Like Pastor Rod Parsley says, “Little is much when God is in it.” When God is at your side, then the impossible seems possible. Have we forgotten that He’s at our side? Jesus didn’t leave us alone, He left the Holy Spirit to help us. God is not in Heaven looking down at us and hoping that we’ll make it, He’s given us EVERYTHING we need to succeed!
If God has faith in us, then we need to believe in us too. I think part of the problem is that we think too little of ourselves. We are not just anybody, we are the King’s kids! I can assure you that you have what it takes to not only survive, but to live in abundance and prosperity. I know God has big things for you. The enemy will try to stop that from coming true. But you need to stand your ground. Stand on the promises He has given you and believe that He’ll be there for you like He was for Shammah. Don’t shrink back in fear, press on and fight back. The devil will be persistent in attacking you, but enough is enough, FIGHT BACK! To enjoy victory, you have to endure in the battle. And trust me, victory feels good.
As you begin to fight back, you’ll notice that the enemy is more afraid of you than you were of him. Overcome your fears and fight back. This is a war and wars are messy and bloody. Don’t worry about what people think or say, you know what you need to do in order to obtain victory. When they see what you’ve accomplish, they won’t be talking bad anymore. Shammah became a hero after this fight. He became known as one of the three mighty men of David. He changed the course of his family and generation. He stands out in Israel’s history because he fought back. Thats all it can take, one choice to stand up. It has amazing consequences. Its all up to you on what you want to do. If you take a step forward, God will step forward too.
One last thing I want to say: tears and emotions will NOT move the hand of God. Only faith and obedience will. God is not touched by our emotions. He is a God of principle, so He moves based on the the amount of faith we have and our willingness to obey Him. If you want God to move with you, then you must believe and obey. So, stop crying and get your armor and weapons ready, it’s time to make war! Don’t stop until your enemies are destroyed!
Fight back!
