Turning to God
John 12:40 (The Message)
“Their eyes are blinded,
their hearts are hardened,
So that they wouldn’t see with their eyes
and perceive with their hearts,
And turn to me, God,
so I could heal them.”
I imagine how much it must hurt God when we doubt Him. So many people don’t believe in God because they say that he’s never done something for them. Or they say “if God exist why am I the way that I am?” We have to realize it is not God, it is us. This verse speaks clearly, when he says “Their hearts are hardened” when we have our hearts hardened is when we don’t open up to God, when we choose not to believe. At the end of the verse it says when we are like that we can’t turn to God so he can heal us. See here God wants to heal us, but we have to turn to Him first, we need to open up our hearts and receive Him. Leave doubt behind because with doubt our hearts can only become more hardened.
